<text>Version 1.0.8Standard Macintosh™ Text Format--------------------------------This format driver allows you to open and print text files. You can also select any portion of the text and copy it to the Clipboard. The Search menu can be used to find and select portions of the text.Changes Since Last Version…• No changes since the last version.Notes On Use…• Each Text document uses an amount of memory approximately equal to its file size plus up to an additional 32K of overhead depending upon how large the document is.• This is a simple implementation of a text format driver and is limited to reading files less than 32K in size. (About 32000 characters) Files larger than this will have their text truncated when displayed.• The text search operation is case sensitive. For example, searching the paragraph above for “about”, the format driver would report that “about” was not found. However, searching for “About” would select the word, and if necessary, the format driver would scroll the text to make sure the selected word was visible.• All the options in the Page Setup and Print dialogs can be used.• The Font and Size of the text cannot be changed.• Even though only a vertical scroll bar is available, if the window is hiding part of the text you can click in the window and make a horizontal selection that will scroll the text into view.• You are alerted if the text had to be truncated.</text>

<text>Version 1.1.6Standard Macintosh™ ‘snd’ Resource, Format 1 & 2-------------------------------------------------This format driver plays the ‘snd’ resources (Formats 1 and 2) that can be found in different types of files. You can also copy the ‘snd’ resources to the Clipboard.Changes Since Last Version…• No changes since the last version.Notes On Use…• This format driver requires at least System 6.0.2 to run.• ‘snd’s take up a lot of memory. Reader may give an error message saying that it ran out of memory while trying to read a file. A solution is to allocate more memory for Reader if you are running MultiFinder.• If the file contains only ‘snd’s, then the amount of memory the format driver will use to open the file is approximately equal to the size of the file.• You are limited to 50 ‘snd’s.</text>

<text>Version 1.1.8GIF and Graphics Interchange Format are trademarks ofCompuServe, Incorporated, and H&R Block Company-----------------------------------------------------This format driver will open and print GIF files.Changes Since Last Version…• No changes since the last version.Notes On Use…• This format driver requires Color QuickDraw.• GIF files are stored in a compressed format so it may take some time for the format driver to decompress the image in the file.• While the GIF file is being decompressed, the watch hand will move. If the hand is not moving, then a serious error has occurred that the format driver could not recover from.• The format driver can open interlaced or non-interlaced GIF files. It assumes that the GIF file only uses a global color map and contains only one image. This is how almost all GIF files are stored.• Some GIF images are stored in text files. To accommodate this, the GIF format driver will also display text files while you are selecting a file to open. The format driver will check the file before using it to make sure that it contains a GIF image.</text>
